After we did lots of different poses in the studio with fierce looks and intense lighting, we had to grab a few shots at the baseball field when the clouds were JUST RIGHT! A couple of cups of coffee later, with a little Photoshop magic, TADA - Hayden's totally awesome baseball photos!

Hayden has a very bright future ahead of him! He's going to love playing baseball in college, but we know he will always consider himself a Mountain Home Bomber!

This big brother is very good to his little sister! We LOVE it when our clients come back and send us referrals! It is so fun to work WITH a family! This little one didn't want to smile at ALL for her photo session. She's TWO and she can DECIDE what she wants!!! :) We were all giggling at her funny faces but we still snuck in some shots of that adorable little grin she couldn't hold in ALL the time!

We've had the priviledge of photographing Carley since she was a newborn! (We even had a great maternity session with her mom BEFORE she was born!) :) It's amazing to see her grow and change every time Karen brings her by the studio! Babies are so fabulous!

jclare studios had the pleasure of covering a Christmas Party hosted at The White River Inn. It's a beautiful place, set high on a bluff, overlooking the gorgeous White River from the back deck.

A quaint winding road leads up the mountain on the journey to the inn. Driving through beautiful forests, alongside pastures and cattle, to the fabulous destination, sets the pace for relaxation to come. The tree-lined lane opens up to this beautiful welcoming site!

Entering the front door, the great room opens the way to inviting views off the back of the inn.

Every room has a beautiful view. 

jclare studios was there to cover photography for a Christmas Party.

We also had The Photo Booth by {jclare studios} as a highlight of the party.

Moose is an avid hunter and fisherman.

Many of his trophies are displayed throughout the lodge.

A couple of years ago, jclare studios welcomed a wonderful senior named Jacey to our studio family. She had a cute little sister that is now all grown up! Welcome Shaley to the jclare studios Rockin' Seniors!

Shaley is an active student. She is a cheerleader, keeps good grades, is active in clubs, and loves to ride her bike! This slideshow of her senior session captures her fun-loving and sweet personality.

Shaley's mom Sharla is a dear friend of the studio too! We are so lucky to work with such wonderful people! We <3 you!

Emma isn't just a pretty face, she's very intelligent, makes great grades, works within her community to make things better, and is a valuable member of her high school volleyball team!

jclare studios went to Senior Night where the senior players on her team were honored, and got a few fun shots of the ceremony and a little bit of volleyball action on the court!

I think participation in team sports helps build one's character and facilitates cooperative behavior. After all, we humans need to learn to work together to make the world a better place!

Once upon a time, a couple fell in love, and jclare studios covered their wedding when they married.

A few years later, the couple felt blessed to expect their first child! jclare studios took Mom and Dad's maternity photos--and they were so sweet!

Then, Tristan was born, and we took his newborn photos...

Now, he's just had his 6 month old baby photos and he just gets more and more adorable!

Tristan is growing up in the tradition of his dad's family--working at the family store for the 3rd generation! Doesn't he look the dapper shopkeeper already?! :)

We had a lovely autumn session with Halen recently.

Halen is a high school senior this year.

Somehow when I'm around an expectant mother, I get a sense of calm and peace. Even amidst the antics from fun little children, there is a serene space. 

In this maternity session, I sense that feeling. Sally is  beautiful! It is an honor to be with someone at such a special time in life! Thank you Sally for sharing these wonderful moments with us!

A really fun part of holidays for us, is joining in on family get togethers and reunions to photograph happy faces making happy memories!

We are so pleased with the lovely photographs we took, despite the 100+ degree temperatures on that day!

So the jclare studios crew took the Photo Booth  along to Jonesboro when we went for their wedding and reception. Carolanne rwas the booth attendant while Jess and Evan photographed the wedding and reception.

We began the day at the historic Trotter House in Monticello, AR. Isn't she beautiful?!?

We then headed just east of Monticello to Alisha's childhood home.

It was taken in front of their old post box--the boxes are still there, but the post office has updated to the newer versions.

Next we visited the Pickens Plantation House where a gentle breeze lifted her veil and helped to make this gorgeous photo!

The railroad tracks passing through town was a fun stop along the way.

Then we made a brief stop at The Pickens Store where you can pick up necessities, catch up on the latest farm news and local gossip, AND get the best slice of coconut cream pie you ever tasted!

We ended the day behind Alisha's grandmother's home on the Bartholomew Bayou.

This little guy was such a cute tiny one, and just keeps getting cuter! His mom and dad are so awesome, we just LOVE this adorable little family!

Since Hudson is on the jclare studios baby plan, we get to see this cute guy about every 3 months!

We started his recent session with some lovely family shots along the beautiful White River!

It wasn't long before Hudson was determined to run to the water! (Look at those little dimples!)

Finishing Touch has been in business for 5 years but you'd think it had been 20. This is a family business! Jessica's mother and sister are associate coordinators for weddings. They also have interns and assistants who step in for larger events.

Jennifer arranged to meet her 3 sisters in Mtn. Home (they came from 4 different towns) for a big photo shoot with all their children. Their parents are celebrating a huge milestone anniversary soon, so the girls wanted to surprise their parents with a wonderful photograph.

We had planned to do the shoot outdoors, but it was a FREAKY day. The temperatures had been in the high 70's the day before, but on the day of their session, it was freezing cold and windy, so we moved the shoot to the studio.

Working with many children of various ages can be fun--trying to get everyone to look toward the photographer and to get photos reflecting everyone's personality and the fun they are having together... Sometimes you just have to roll with it. That's why we call it LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

Jennifer has triplets and then another--she has learned to laugh with life!!! I love this photo!!!

This adorable couple met while students at Arkansas State University. For their first date, Kyle took Allie to dinner. Afterwards, he suggested they might go bowling. He soon realized he was in for more than he had bargained for... 

Allie enthusiastically agreed that bowling would be fun--as she opened the trunk of her car to get her "stuff" to take along (a professional bowling bag)!

It didn't take long for Kyle to fall for more than Allie's bowlling skills! They became inseperable. One year after that momentous first date, they were once again bowling.

Allie had just thrown a strike, and turned around to find Kyle on bended knee with a ring box lifted to her! (I'll bet you can't guess what date they're getting married?!)

This is a couple that knows how to have fun wherever they go. They don't restrict themselves to the indoors. They are avid hikers and often take their two babies, Leeloo and Revy, into their favorite park at Craighead Forest Park in the scenic beauty of Crowley's Ridge.

The warmth in their eyes betrays the reality of how cold it was on this day! We were grateful for the lovely sunshine and the beautiful day!

This little guy was handmade and brought in by one of our crew, the lovely Holly the Baker, but he jumped up and ran away!!

He stands about 12" tall and the little sucker is FAST. If you catch our runaway Gingerbread Man, bring him by the studio and we'll give you a prize!!!

Atsuko is from Japan, Daniel is British but spent much of his childhood growing up in Mallorca. They both lived in the United States as teenagers--but they finally met in Dubai, where they now live!

Atsuko came to live with Carolanne 16 years ago in California as an exchange student. The bond that formed between them was everlasting and they truly became family forever. After 2 years, Atsuko graduated from high school and moved back to Japan to study and train for her career. She became a flight attendant with American Airlines in Singapore and lived there for a few years. Next she lived in Tokyo for a couple of years, then she had the opportunity to move to Dubai for her work. Daniel worked for the same company in Dubai, they met, fell in love, and the rest is history! :)

Their wedding was truly lovely. Friends and family gathered from the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Dubai, the United States, Germany, Spain, Ireland...did I forget a country?!? :)

The island is gorgeous with mountains and the fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea...the town of Andratx has a true working harbor so the seafood was spectacular!

Carolanne was so honored to be there for this wonderful couple's celebration of love. (Isn't my daughter beautiful?!? And she's now married to a handsome gentleman!)

A great example is Mrs. Judy Sliwa. She brought in her wedding photo--they had taken snapshots when they married in 1968. Judy brought in one that she wanted restored (faded colors and UV damage had changed the photograph). We were so happy with the results, and so was Judy.

A great bonus for us was the warm connection we made together as she told me about how she and her husband had met, courted, married, and about their life together. Times like this are wonderful bonding moments that make life truly special.

I asked Judy to write me a little story to put with their wedding photo on our blog, she did such a wonderful job. I wish you could just hear her talk. She is a great storyteller and oh, there are such stories to tell about the adventures of this amazing couple!!! :)  (Judy even baked cookies and brought some in to the studio for Carolanne and Kristen!!! ~thank you Judy!~)

John and Judy Sliwa

John and Judy were born and raised in Chicago. They lived in the same neighborhood but did not meet until 1959 at the age of 15! After graduation from high school, they both got jobs. John received his draft notice and served int he U.S. Army from 1965-1967. They married in April 1968 in Judy's family's apartment (that's her mother's photo in the background!). The couple bought their first house in the fall of 1969 and lived there for over 29 years.

After retiring John and Judy moved to the Ozarks in 1998 and rented while making plans to build their home here. They moved into their new home in March 2000 and it was exactly what they wanted.

After a very long and very happy loving life together, John passed away in September 2010.

In Judy's words, "John was truly a wonderful gift to me--my husband, best friend, lover, parter and other half of my heart forever."

Thank you for sharing your heart, your love, your story and your light with me Judy. You have touched our lives forever, and so has John.

Recently ASUMH held career days for students. Students were given the opportunity to have a personal appointment with an advisor to set up their own LinkedIn account. LinkedIn is a professional online network that helps people to expose their resumes to potential employers and associates.

We had a great day at The Mountain Home Berry Farm for their recent family session. Peter made an unbelievable sign for the day's session. They plan to use it later for the wall to go on display with their photos!

(Yes, if you want to place orders for a sign for YOUR family, I'll do my best to hook you up! haha) ;)  Carolanne was able to talk Peter into making a big #1 for the studio that we are using for 1 year old baby sessions--so cool!!! :)

We had a wonderful outdoor family session near Lake Norfork with this fun family. The boys were especially enjoying the lovely October day!

MHHS 2011 Bomber Football

Let's begin with some photos of the band as they were preparing to march! :)

The following day, on Sunday, the jclare studios Director, Carolanne Sacry Feiste and some others of the jclare crew headed for Jonesboro! We had a great visit there at the Premiere Event Bridal Show at the Cooper Alumni Center on the Arkansas State University Campus. So many brides, couples, and parents came by our booth--it really was such a happy day! :)

This wonderful family recently had a reunion in the Twin Lakes Area and invited jclare studios to come and take some photos. These 7 brothers and 7 sisters haven't been all together in one place for many years. It was an added treat that many of their extended family made it to the reunion.

We do family reunions of 3 or 4 people, and and up--this one had many many more! Here are couple of the group shots they wanted:

It warms the heart to hear siblings joking around with each other. They enjoyed sharing fun remembering experiences together as children growing up, and creating new memories as they came together again now. We enjoyed being with this great group of people!

This one is my favorite!

It doesn't take long--and it is fairly painless. I'd have to say that you will most likely (I guess I cannot PROMISE) but again, you will MOST LIKELY laugh while you're here, and leave with a smile on your face! What's better than that?!? :)

We had a lot of fun recently with Ginger. She is such a warm person--and dynamic at the same time. I love this "sassy" photo of her. What do you think?!?

Ginger spent about half an hour with us, we did her session, she chose her favorites, we prepared her high definition negatives onto a disc for her and she received the completed package within a week. This is our standard commercial portrait session. Now she can use the images for print advertising such as brochures, newspaper ads, business cards, billboards...and for online use such as a website.

Kaylyn is originally from Fayetteville, AR where she lived until she moved  to attend school at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.  There she is studying Social Studies Education and will graduate in May 2012.  She then plans to attend graduate school, and later become a high school history teacher. 

 
Jeff was raised in Harrison, AR where he worked on his family’s chicken farm until moving to Russellville to attend Arkansas Tech University.  He graduated this past May with his degree in Economics and Finance.

 
Kaylyn and Jeff met during Kaylyn’s freshman year in their bowling class.  They ended up on the same bowling team and began dating. 

A year later, Jeffrey proposed during his 21^st birthday party.  A year and nine months after that, they got married at Lydia’s Weddings in Mountain Home. 

 
For their honeymoon, they will spend a week at Walt Disney World enjoying the food, rides and time together with Mickey and Minnie! 

Kaylyn and Jeff love their time with each other. They look forward to owning their own home, having a couple of pets and starting a family.

This couple is near and dear to my heart so it is with great pleasure I share these sneak peak photos with you!

Klay's mom and I go WAY back so I just love him by his lineage...but after meeting him and getting to know him a bit, I know I love him as just Klay too!!!

His life partner is just the sweetest thing you'll ever hope to meet, and beautiful to boot!

Heather's parents came in before the wedding and it was just amazing that we had so many things from our past(s) in common! We have lived and worked in the same place in California--which is remote to say the least!

I have to say that we (Carolanne Sacry Feiste and the jclare crew) were really happy to get to work with these two wonderful people, and their families!!! Thank you Heather and Klay, we are honored to be your chosen photographers!

It seems like we have been doing a lot of out of town weddings (twas the season after all) and we just love seeing all the wonderful venues, lovely gowns and decorations...but most of all, we love all the wonderful happy people we get to work with. We love to TRAVEL!!! And, it is such a joy to work with people, capturing their most precious moments...memories of lifetimes. We are honored to know that our art will be treasured by families for generations to come.

I wanted to go ahead and post a few photos from Lauryn and Garrett's Reception.

They were married in Caraway, and then had their reception at the Hilton Garden Inn in Jonesboro. Carolanne and Jess were at the Rehearsal Dinner the night before in Caraway.

Sarah and Jess covered the wedding and reception on the big day! A great time was had by all.

The Engagement Session was at Garrett's family's cabin in the heart of the Arkansas Ozarks. Some of the jclare crew (namely Jess / photographer and Carolanne / director) went on this shoot. We so enjoyed spending a good part of the day with Garrett, Lauryn and other family and friends that were around.

Garrett and Lauryn spend a good deal of their time outdoors (on the farm and at the cabin) so we wanted to capture some of this in their engagement session. Jess loved this old gate and the beautiful tree-lined lane for a few shots.

Part of the jclare crew, Carolanne and Jess, traveled to Garrett's family cabin deep in the heart of the Ozarks for this session. We did some photos inside the cabin, like this one in the family rocker beside the fireplace. Isn't she just lovely?!

Then...we headed outdoors. The sky was BEAUTIFUL and so was she, we couldn't resist this vintage shot. The glider belonged to Garrett's great grandmother so it has a lot of sentimental feelings to go along with a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. They love to sit here and watch deer come right up to the cabin in the evenings. You may recall the image of Lauryn and Garrett at their engagement session in this same glider?!

Then, the field was beckoning! We just had to get her into that lovely golden grass with the green trees and AMAZING sky behind her, with those unbelievable clouds!! It was breathtaking!

There is just nothing to compare to the lovely look of happiness and anticipation on the face of a bride-to-be! We had so much fun with Lauryn!

I'm putting in the engagement photo below, of Lauryn and Garrett together, on the glider. We love the vintage treatment on this one!

We loved meeting all you seniors and parents, thank you for coming by. We are so excited about all the senior sessions coming up this year! It was great to even book some juniors for their sessions at the end of this school year (they couldn't pass up the huge $100 savings we offered for booking at the party). Whew, we are all tired and energized at the same time!!! :)

I have one with a photo of my children on it. I carry it all the time and get many comments on it. Whenever I am exercising my "mother's bragging rights" to someone, I have their photo right with me to share. I also gave them as gifts to other family members!
